Meals for children:

Bryant School District – March 30th to April 17th Grab & Go Breakfast: 7:30 – 9:30 am Lunch 11am – 1pm Served at Alexander Community Center, Bryant High, Bethel Middle, Collegeville, Davis, Hill Farm, Hurricane Creek, Parkway and Salem.  Meals are for any child 18 years of age or younger. Children do not have to attend Bryant Schools to receive a meal, however the child must be present in order to receive the meal.  Arkansas Foodbank will provide food for the adult family members.

Benton School District – Starting Monday 3/16 Free Breakfast 8 – 10am.  Free Grab & Go Breakfast for students will be offered at Ringgold Elementary in the pickup/drop offline.  Grab & Go Lunch Angie Grant Elementary 11am – 1p, Ringgold Elementary 11am – 1p, Longhills Apartment Complex 11 – 11:30am, Howard Perrin Elementary 11:15 – 11:45am, Ralph Bunche Park 11:30 am – 12pm, RiverCenter 11:45 am – 12:15pm, Caldwell Elementary 12-12:30pm, Trinity Church on Edison Rd. 12:15-12:45pm, Oak Grove Church on Congo Rd. 12:30-1p

Dollar General – First hour of operation is designated for seniors.

Walmart – Stores will be open 7 am to 8:30 pm starting March 19th until further notice.  Special shopping hours from March 24th through April 28th, Walmart stores will host an hour-long senior shopping event every Tuesday for customers aged 60 or older.  This will start one hour before the store opens.  Our Pharmacies and Vision Centers will also be open during this time.

Other Resources

Fidelity Communications Opening WiFi hotspots across its footprint for public use during the COVID-19 crisis in order to keep individuals and communities connected to the online resources they want and need. Fidelity’s WiFi hotspot can be accessed in the Fidelity local office parking lot, located at 19863 Interstate 30 in Benton. Additionally, Fidelity announced that as of March 13, 2020 it is offering payment deferrals and waiving late fees for its customers for 60 days. The company plans to reassess after 30 days based on the continued impact and evolving nature of the virus. “We live and work in the communities we serve and these are our friends and neighbors impacted by effects of the coronavirus (COVID-19), so we want to do our part to help,” said Julie Laulis, President and CEO.  “We understand that our customers rely on their Internet service to stay connected to family, work, school and information, and we are committed to ensuring they receive the assistance they need during this time.” Customers can call 800-392-8070 for more information.

AT&T is creating a Distance Learning and Family Connections Fund to give parents, students and teachers tools they need for at-home learning. The fund also will provide resources to maintain meaningful connections and bonding opportunities for those isolated from family and friends.

Habitat for Humanity of Saline County Administrative offices are open Monday-Thursday from 9-4 and Friday 9-noon. The ReStore is currently NOT open to the public, however, they are still accepting drop-off donations and scheduling pick-ups, Tuesday – Saturday from 10-4. ReStore employees are also posting pictures of store inventory on the ReStore Facebook page.  Items may be purchased over the phone at 501-315-0011.
