Summer has officially begun and we’re rounding up the ways to beat the heat and keep kids engaged all summer long.

Mills Park

Mills Park renovations are coming along! City Council Member Allen Scott is the liaison for the Parks Department. He said they anticipate the project to be completed at the end of June, leaving plenty of time for summer fun at the City’s new all-inclusive playground. The Mills Park pool is OPEN! Visit for hours of operation.

The Center at Bishop Park

The Center at Bishop Park features a 25 yard, 8 lane competition pool, complete with a diving board! The pool is open Monday – Friday from 5 AM to 9 PM, Saturday from 8 AM – 8 PM, and Sunday from 12 PM to 8 PM. Check the Bryant Parks and Recreation Facebook page for closures due to swim meets, etc. In addition, The Center has a Splash Pad that is open Monday – Saturday from 8 AM – 8 PM and Sunday from 12:30 PM – 8 PM.

Saline County Library

Looking for fun free activities? The Saline County Library is the place to go! Yes, the library! It’s not all JUST books, ya know. From arts & crafts, to science shows the Saline County Library is full of activities for kids of all ages this summer.

Due to the upcoming remodel of the Mabel Boswell Library in Bryant, all summer programs will be held at the Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library in Benton. We look forward to see the exciting changes and renovations of the Bryant location. For more information on summer camps at the library, visit

Summer Care

In need of every day summer care for your child? Check out the Bryant Boys & Girls Clubs. With locations at Bishop Park and Davis Elementary school, the Boys & Girls Club provides a safe and positive environment for kids in grades Kindergarten – 8th grade all summer long. The BGC provides programs for summer learning such as Summer Brain Gain and STEM activities, arts & crafts, pottery, mentoring, cooking class, app development, movie makers, and more!
