The Bryant School Board officially rezoned elementary attendance boundaries at the March 13 meeting. The new zones take effect when the 2018-19 school year commences in August. Bethel Middle and Bryant Middle Schools were not affected by the zoning changes.
The change will balance enrollment and address overcrowding in existing schools, as well as establish an attendance zone for the district’s newest school, Parkway Elementary, opening in August 2018. The plan also addresses future growth in areas with new housing developments. Boundaries have not been changed since 2012.
The district’s website will soon offer an online tool for residents to determine which school students will attend.
