Ribbon Cuttings are a time to celebrate! We want to celebrate the opening of your business, your business becoming a chamber member, a new location, or if you are reopening under new management. Pictures from your ceremony will be shared on the chamber’s social media platforms and in the Saline Courier. The chamber will provide the large scissors for the ceremony at no cost for being a chamber member. Do not stress with trying to plan for your ribbon cutting! Here are a few tips on planning your ribbon cutting.
Schedule your ribbon cutting in advance for the chamber to provide enough notice to other chamber members. Wear your business shirts with logo for more advertising opportunities for your business to be seen in pictures. Plan to share your business services at the ceremony. This does not have to be a long speech; however, we hope that you will share a brief description of what your business can provide to local consumers.
Ribbon cutting ceremonies usually last about 20 minutes.

We do not want you to simply join the chamber, we want you to be involved! Every new member has the option of setting up a ribbon cutting, but we do not want you to stop there. We encourage you and your business to be engaged. Serve on a committee, become an ambassador, sponsor an event, attend other businesses ribbon cuttings, attend networking events, and attend other chamber events. We believe the more you are involved, the stronger our Chamber, our community, and your business will be.
